Preview of into the Gray zone, sequel to a book I wrote.

I wrote a book titled, Beyond the Cutting Edge, here's a quick look at something from the upcoming sequel.

The scent of salt lingered in the air, as if they were still at the beach, it annoyed Rich to no end, everything was such a chore, it was bad enough he had to put up with Gray, and deal with the loss of his beloved Abigail, now he was being bombarded with requests from Tristan too.  All the money in the world couldn't have forced a smile upon his miserable face, but he refused to quit his job.  No matter how annoying his boss was, and no matter how annoying Tristan could be.  "Anything else Lord Gray?"  Rich asked straining to keep his annoyance from being present within his tone.  "Mind your temper and fetch me some tea." Gray, the young boy with silver hair and dark blue eyes said in a dull tone as if everything bored him.  "So Tristan, you're the champion of this town, why have you not seen fit to visit me earlier?  See if I am going to present a threat to the town or something." Gray asked completely ignoring the fact that Rich failed to move from his spot standing over them.  "The Bolt's have always been, the sheriff's of the darker side of Cutting Edge, and you aren't a part of that world, you're the kind the regular sheriff should look into, even if that weren't the case, I'm not a paranoid man, I only came here today to request your assistance in particularly strange case I'm working on." Tristan explained. "Swift foot butler, we wouldn't want you to lose your position."  Gray said without turning to see Rich at all. Rich grumbled to himself as he marched away from his enemy and his annoying boss, he was certain paring up with Bolt was a mistake for anyone, the kind he didn't even want Gray to face.
